So, my tattoo is four days old now. It's significantly faded. I think I screwed it up. I think I rubbed off some of the color after the shower. I did whatever I was told to do, but I just feel like this can't be normal tattoo healing, for my flesh color to be so prominent throughout the once-opaque tattoo.

Advice? Experience?

Eileen says I'm being crazy.

I just left a message for the tattoo artist, hopefully she'll call me back tonight.

Look at these 2 pictures:

It's still a bit raw and the white looks faded because it's a little bloody, but WOOO HOOOOOOO. I love it!

Each kid in Lily's class had to draw their family for a project. I went in for Lily's teacher conference today and the teachers explained to me that they had to have her redo her picture. Then the teacher gave me the original. The above is the original...

Are you talkin' to me? Are you talking to ME?

Laszlo and I were playing with his new camera and my camera and I was feeling frisky. ;-)

This time was much easier, I knew what I was doing. The pants alone last night took me a bit over an hour, and they have a few mistakes. These took me an hour from start to hitting "post" right now...including the shirt and everything.

Hopefully I'll come up with some sort of system, but we'll see! I'm so happy.

My friend Lori cried when she opened these for her daughter Rayne.

Yay me!

I've always wanted to make ruffle-bottom pants. Basically, all I ever sew is a straight line. I tried using patterns a few years back and got scared of them, so they've been packed away for years now.

Last night I was browsing on etsy and I found a super cute pattern for toddler ruffle pants. This evening I decided to sit down and give it a shot. It took me about an hour (it would probably take the seamstresses out there a whole ten minutes) but they came out so cute and they actually fit Ella! I used red sushi fabric, mostly because I have a ton of it. I see some pants-making in my very near future. They're just too damn adorable to not make a million pairs of.

I know this doesn't seem like much to those of you who sew, but for me it's a very big deal because I'm trying to grow my business again and adding a whole new *thing* to my stock is so very exciting for me...especially since I always fear the things I've never done creatively.

This is half way to her pissed off face

Lily called me to the fridge and said, "Mommy, does this spell 'magnets'?" I didn't even look at first, because I thought she was just playing around. Nope. She spelled "magnis" She was SO proud. So was I.

Of course, Laszlo came in and told her that she misspelled it and had to add the T, so she did that and then asked me to take another picture.

I met my friend Melanie in Hawaii on my first honeymoon...turned out she lived 5 minutes from where I was working at the time.

She just posted this picture on Facebook of me and my ex, on Lanai - October, 1996.

I found some local nut thing and stuck it in his gargantuan belly button.

Ick. Just ick.

She loves to shake her head side to side and make her hair go all over the place. It cracks her up.

When she's done, she's dizzy.

Between 1st grade starting today and being home cleaning with the girls, I was a bit snap happy. So...more pics to come...but I had to post this one first. She walked into the playhouse and grabbed the gun, I grabbed my camera.

She always goes into the dogs' crate (aka "cribbie") but this time she went in and shut the door behind her, sat comfortably on their bed and watched TV for about 10 minutes before letting herself out. She used to go in and play in their water and mess with their food, but this time she was just chillaxin'.

Some of you may remember the table I took that my neighbor was throwing away. It's 90 inches long. I mosaic tiled it just before/when I got pregnant with Ella. I have always been afraid to grout because the tiles/plates/stuff are all different heights.

Robert's friend from the train is a button salesman. He gave me several boxes of discontinued and overstocked buttons and I got motivated. On Sunday I decided to grout. Because I couldn't add any buttons until everything on the top was cemented on.

Here are some pics:

When I took it out to grout, just before I started...

The game-piece tiles say, "LASZLO, LILY AND ELLA ARE THE MUSIC OF OUR LIVES."

I'm not exactly sure how to feel about this picture of Laszlo that came home with his end-of-camp stuff. On the one hand, it's so freakin' gorgeous I want to blow it up poster size and hang it in every room in my house. On the other hand, who the hell took this picture and what exactly were they trying to capture? I'm 100% sure this is when they were swimming, when obviously he isn't wearing a shirt.

When Lily saw the picture, she said, "Ha! You're nakey!"

Seriously though, how handsome is that kid?

Last night we were all around the dinner table and Robert had made himself a sandwich. Ella was polishing off some watermelon. She started pointing, "Eh! Eh! Dees!" So Robert gave her a piece of ham from his sandwich, which she promptly refused with an unmistakable NO. "Eh! Eh! Eh! Dees!!!!" So he handed her a piece of cheese from his sandwich. No. Round three...he gave her some bread. No.

Finally, he figured he'd offer her the sandwich.

Guess what?
