I should add, she's enormous. She's 2 1/2 months younger than lily and she dwarfs her. She's got a good 5-10 pounds on her. My sister in law has bad feet and my brother has a bad back, so any carrier with this baby isn't going to cut it. I think Layne would be miserable being held too.

I sent my sis in law the info about some sort of strap that can buckle in the back. Most of the time they don't even put her in the stroller, but there are times (I guess supermarket, etc.) where they need to have her confined to be safe.
