fb

The most disturbing thing for me about facebook is that I can see all these details of the lives of people I used to be very close to, and I have no idea who they are anymore. I was just looking at one of my best friend's pages/pictures/comments. He and I became friends in seventh grade because we had the same last name (only spelled differently) and we were inseparable through high school and then we went to college together. People in college assumed we were either boyfriend and girlfriend or that we were brother and sister.

I always thought he was gay. He still may be, who knows.

But he's married to a girl we went to college with. And they have two beautiful daughters. They live in Florida and have for many years. And I have no idea who he is anymore. And that makes me so sad.

So happy to see how great he's doing and to see pictures of his gorgeous family, but it makes me long for our old friendship, that will never exist again.

I guess I'm just feeling nostalgic tonight. I should probably sleep.

I'm awful

Am I a horrible person because I filter out responses to freecycle offers by the grammar used in the responses? Robert's argument is that the people who are the neediest are the ones with the poorest grammar, but I totally disagree.

More newness

This time was much easier, I knew what I was doing. The pants alone last night took me a bit over an hour, and they have a few mistakes. These took me an hour from start to hitting "post" right now...including the shirt and everything.

Hopefully I'll come up with some sort of system, but we'll see! I'm so happy.

Note from the grammar-winner freecycler who picked up all my maternity clothes today...

Hi Jen-

Just wanted to thank you again for the clothes; I went through them tonight, and they were fantastic! I'm looking forward to wearing them. My husband also wanted to express his thanks; he was touched that someone would give freely like that.

May G-d bless your family as you have blessed me. Many thanks :)

Sincerely,

Stephanie
