Score

I went to BJ's the other day to fill in on some household stuff and I was browsing the toy aisle, because I can't help myself. I found a train table there. I've seen them there before, but they were usually way over $100 and I couldn't justify getting one.

Well, this time, they had a great one for $99, instant rebate of $10, so it was $89. I called Robert from the store to make sure it was ok, mainly because it's really big and not something I could casually stick in Laszlo's room or the basement. He said we'd wait for the holidays to give it to him, which was fine with me.

That night, I asked Robert to take it out of my car, since I nearly killed myself putting it in. He put it right in Laszlo's room, in the center of the floor. Duh.

So much for waiting until December. Maybe he meant Rosh Hashanah? :-)

It was frustrating to put together, but it's all done and it's even better than I had hoped...and my favorite thing is that it has a large shelf on the bottom. The Pottery Barn Kids catalog came yesterday with a very similar table for $300. Heh.

I am going to get Lily a great doll house FOR THE HOLIDAYS or for when she moves into her new room, whichever comes first. It's super cute and nice and plain wood. I know she'll absolutely love it.

Few things make me happier than buying stuff for my kids that I know they will love. It doesn't have to be something big like this...even if it's something at the Dollar Tree.

My mom is such a grandma

and yeah wtf with pottery barn kids. they have a very similar play kitchen on their website. for 500 dollars. I think not...

Nice score there! Ikwym about it feeling good to buy something for the kids. They totally don't need more stuff and all of that, but it *is* fun to do stuff like that, whether it's little stuff or big stuff.
