Carriers?

Ok, so I have a Hug-a-Bub that I used with Lily and I also have an old Baby Trekker that I probably won't use too much (very cumbersome) and I have an Ergo from when Lily was about a year old...AND I'm ordering a mei tai from the very talented Holly at www.meitaicarriers.com. My question is, am I missing anything I must have? Is the Maya very similar to the Hug-a-Bub? Do I need more than these? I survived just fine with the Hug-a-Bub and Trekker with Lily, and then got the Ergo, although it was a little late for her with that and I'm sure I'll get a ton more use out of it this time around.

Input appreciated. Thanks mommas.

I think you'll be set, unless you might want a pouch.

I have no idea waht a baby trekker is though.

wait, isn't it like... kinda MT-y, kinda ergo-y? With a big ugly padded headrest on the body?

If you take a bjorn and cross it with a mei tai and a padded ring sling, you might end up in the vicinity of a baby trekker. Baby leg position is mediocre, but it's more versatile than the bjorn, less comfy to most than a mei tai.

Hug-a-Bub is a wrap, while the Maya is a ring sling (despite its name). But don't get one of those. Browse my site and pick something out and email me and I'll make you one :) Since you know how to use a wrap, you're pretty well covered, but I like ring slings for quick on-and-off and easy adjustment, which is especially helpful for nursing.

A good woven wrap would be an appropriate addition.

I just have to say that I love your slings! They are so beautiful, I'm not even close to having a baby and I want to get several...for the future. I send all my pregnant friends, friends with babies, and clients (I'm a doula) to your site.

I am loving my KKAFP. I have never gotten the hang of my hotsling. (I don't know Kristen, maybe I should email her for some help? :) ) You are welcome to try both. I use the KKAFP every day to go in and out of Sophie's school. I use the Napsack for longer carries. I used my moby when he was smaller, the hug a bu is like that, no? Come to Nathan's Party and we'll play with carriers.

Tubal ligation?

the Hug-a-Bub looks like the Minsari, which is popular here in Israel. I plan on making one of my own soon before my baby is born.

Do you find that it's comfortable to wear in the heat of summer?

P.S. I'd like to friend you if that's ok.

Sure!

I thought it was just fine, even though it's solid black. I think mostly because it's a nice light cotton and I'd wear it with a tank top, so it really didn't bother me.
