The Pumpkin Caper
I bought a bunch of pumpkins to put outside on our porch. I decorated them to look like various members of our family.

So this morning all of them were there. And when I just went to put something outside, Kibbles' was gone! That's the little black dog at the very end. Is it possible that a squirrel or cat could have gotten off with that? I know there are some strays around here and some relatively new kittens...but a pumpkin???
Edit: I found the missing Kibbles pumpkin under my car later this afternoon...it was definitely a small animal that grabbed it and started to eat it under the car...guess it couldn't lift it any farther than that. I'm fighting the temptation to leave out some cat food.

I am told (but have not yet put this into effect) that vaseline will prevent critters (our specific target being squirrels) from eating the pumpkins. It would certainly prevent me from eating them, but we'll be putting this into practice later this week.
BTW, glad Kibbles mostly survived his assault!
