Lily has a fever

She wasn't acting herself this afternoon and evening, and I gave her some Tylenol just because nothing else was soothing her, and she had 2 shots yesterday. Both kids have had colds this past week, and Lily's seemed to be on its way out. When she woke up about a half hour ago, I took her into her rocker to nurse her and she felt very warm to me. I took her temperature and it was 100.2, which seemed low considering how hot she feels. I gave her more Tylenol, but I'm worried about my lil baby girl. She's sleeping on my lap right now. I'm assuming it's some sort of virus...we were in the damn doctor's office yesterday (they can't really catch something this fast, can they?). She could have caught it anywhere I know...I'm just upset. It sucks when your kids aren't feeling well.

The shots she had are shots she's had twice before, so it's not a reaction to them.

Damn, her little head and face feel so hot to me right now. I'm rambling, but I don't know what to do. I know that fever in itself is not dangerous. I know it's a healthy part of being sick - that her body is fighting something off. It's still breaking my heart though.

:-(

Maybe I'll wake Robert, although all he'll likely do is panic and suggest calling the doctor, which I don't see as necessary at this point.

Try Advil. It lasts longer and may actually do a better job at reducing fever.

Hope she feels better soon!

Boo ALWAYS got a fever the night & next day after shots. ALWAYS. It lasted most of two days, then she was fine...even though I knew it always happened, I was still nervous every time it DID.

Hugs!!

YoungBloke reacted worse after his second set of jabs than after the first, and worse again after the third set. So maybe it really is just that.

Hope you're all feeling better today!
