iPod

I finally ordered an iPod...it's my first, and I am aware that I'm going to most likely become addicted. Any pointers for someone who is a complete iPod novice?

My brother has a zillion songs digitized, so I'll probably have him burn me a few CDs.

oooh what kind did you get? I have a black 30GB video.

menu + center button = will reset the power.

I resisted the iPod for a long time, because I didn't want to give any money to Apple, but I'm definitely loving mine. Its like my other kid right now, I'm having a special case knit for it.

and to think I've had it this long and it still doesn't have a name.

I got the Nano 4 gig in silver (because that's the only color it comes in, and I didn't wanna spend an extra fifty bucks to have the cool pink one, when I can probably just buy a cute cover somewhere for ten). I had it engraved with my email address, per my sister in law's recommendation, since they all look the same.

30 gig?~!?~? WTF do you put on it????

well, music. I have a ton of space left on it, but I do have enough music to fill it up, I just haven't transferred it all.

I will say the nano is better if you do a lot of working out.

For now it's primarily for the gym, and I can't imagine using it too much other times because I am rarely without kids other than when I'm at the gym.

I play mine over an FM transmitter in the car. I also watch video podcasts while the boys are in swim class.
