kids dressed: check

mother on her way over who is mad at hubby and I for something not worth going into detail about: check

brother who has lost weight recently and is being *such* the drama queen about "not having an appetite due to stress" because they have just built an office in their apartment and it's driving him crazy to have things in such disarray: check

amazingly sweet sister in law who puts up with said brother: check

adorable niece chatting it up with Lily: check

Ok, I think everything's in order.

Yeah, I realized I didn't put that in after the fact...turkey came over with said annoying mother, along with the stuffing. She insisted on cooking it herself at her house, part of why she's angry...OY!
