Laszloisms

Laszlo has ways of putting things:

When it's dark out and he wants to go outside or come out of bed, he ways, "Want Mommy to turn the blue sky on."

Similarly, when it's raining, he'll ask me to "turn the rain off."

Man, if only I was that powerful. Nice to know that in his eyes, I am.

If he's playing with something that isn't working the way he wants/expects it to, he'll say, "Want Mommy put a button on it" or "Want Mommy put a battery in it" - I guess that's a commentary on the toys of today, but still. He'll say it with any kind of toy.

He also calls Lysol spray, "light salt" as in, "Mommy sprayed light salt in Lily's room." Any long, thin cylindrical can is now "light salt."

Over the weekend, we met a new friend of Laszlo's. Apparently, Omi has a stop sign, is a female, is red (but sometimes green) and lives in Manhattan - as well as in Laszlo's imagination. I love that he's developing an imaginary person/friend. He sings a song about her as well.

This kid freakin' kills me.

Aww, those are adorable turns of phrase. Gabe thinks I can turn rain off, too :) Now, what I really wish is to be able to turn it on...

So cute! I really love how he knows you are capable of redesigning his toys so that they'll work properly.

Sasha doesn't credit me with those godlike abilities. What am I doing wrong? ;-)

Keep us updated on Omi. That's so interesting.
