Pup
She doesn't really look like an "Olive" but we'll see. I went to see her today at a breeder today. Robert's coming to see her tonight and we're bringing the kids.
She's a 10 week old Havanese, the breed I was originally interested in.

The guy who breeds them lives about an hour away, but he gives have of his litters to his cousin who lives 5 minutes from me. He breeds dogs and horses. He said, "I have a special running, for every puppy you buy you get a free horse." I'm still chuckling about that one.
This pup is so cute, she's got a little black mask on her face and she looks like a checkerboard.

the guy who is showing the dogs said I should be really careful about washing my hands before handling my dog at home because the puppies could still have parasites.
A) do they?
B) do I have to keep her away from my dog if/when we bring her home?
I'm planning on crate training her, so I'm going to buy a smaller crate tomorrow. Kibbles and Bama shared a much bigger crate that Kibbles still hangs out in all the time, but it's way too big for crate training.
Thanks again.

B) well, it's a great idea to keep her seperate at least til her first vet visit, just to make sure she shows no signs of communicable disease. But otherwise, I wouldn't really worry about it. Does your other dog take Heartgard? It controls against most common GI parasites.
