He's doing it to push your buttons. Figure out what his payoff is, and eliminate the payoff. Explain to him what's going on and how you feel about it. Ask him what he wants (ask when he's not tantruming) when he does that, and what it is going to get him, and see if he can figure out a better way of doing that.
