...and it only gets better

Laszlo got off the school bus and I noticed right away that his left leg looked swollen and red. I took off his shoe and he was in agony. He got a few bug bites yesterday and this one in particular was itching him just before bed.
I assumed it was an allergic reaction, but called the pediatrician to be sure. It was also oozing (ick). The office said to bring him in. Turns out he must have had dirt under his nail or something and scratched it, because now it's infected. He's on antibiotics now and I had to use a Sharpie to outline the redness on his leg, and make sure it doesn't spread or get other markings on it. I felt so bad for him, it really was huge.
Then on the way home from the pharmacy I got the kids McDonalds for dinner and got myself a very delicious iced coffee from there. On the way home, Robert called and was *miserable* about his job, saying that he felt like he was going to cry and that his boss was trying to make him quit. He also said he'd be at work very late tonight because he had to finish up.
Yay for a stress free day. Not.
