School, awake, etc.
Sep. 15th, 2005 03:53 amYes, it's almost 4 am and I'm awake updating. Lily has been up twice tonight being the total boobaholic that she is and then I got hungry and had a snack, only to realize that I had some sort of soapy taste in my mouth and still can't figure out why.
Anyway, she's back asleep and I'm up. I'm actually debating going into Laszlo's lil bed and watching his TV (he's in bed sleeping with Robert, and yes, Laszlo has a TV in his room, my bad).
He had his second day of school. He did GREAT. He didn't cry at all. He was actually looking forward to it. Any time he started misbehaving in the morning, I would say, "Do you want to go to school today?" And he would say, "Yes." So I'd tell him he had to stop hitting Lily/smacking me/putting the air conditioner on and off and on and off/pushing every button in the office/etc. and then he would. For that moment.
His teacher said he did really well.
He came home smelling like a preschooler. Like tempera paint and paste. Like pretzels and apple juice. Like the playground.
He's doing so well. I couldn't be happier or prouder.
Lily's amazing too. She's so funny and every day she's saying more stuff. She just comes out with things. She loves to mimic things I do, so she always wants to be on a chair with her keys and phone in her hands. She says, "Seet down" when she sees a chair she can fit herself onto. Tonight she wanted to get out of her room, but didn't know how to say it other than pointing, so she said, "'side" - which is "outside", which I thought was pretty darn smart of her.
She's 18 months old as of yesterday and she's still such a baby. I'm so happy about that. I have some very funny pictures of her that I have to post. She's a jewelry whore. I hope she outgrows that by the time she hits adolescence.
Ok, going to try and get some more sleep. Hopefully it works. Even if it's contorted in Laszlo's bed watching awful late night (early morning?) TV.
