Ah, the joys of motherhood

Laszlo looked funny to me yesterday, he had bags under his eyes. Then last night, there was some gunk in one of his eyes. Then in the middle of the night, he woke up and asked me to "take out the hard tears" - the crust that had formed - EW. This morning he looked like the scene from Shallow Hal where Jack Black puts Vaseline over his eyes so he won't have to see his beloved in her fullness.

So yeah, it's a "raging case of pink eye" - according to the doctor. I didn't take him to school today and now he's off until after the new year. Ack. The good news is he's really good about the drops. My boy loves him some medicine, he's just like me.

Then tonight, miss Lily decided to start this awful cough. She's got a fever, but it's not that high. I didn't take her temperature with a thermometer, just my momma lips (extremely accurate, btw) and I just put her to bed. She was in remarkably good spirits for someone coughing that much, she's such a trooper.

And of course, Robert's now home until Tuesday - on the job prowl. He's optimistic, but he's so insecure and unsure about the dumbest things, and then he's so arrogant and stupid about other things. It's really frustrating.

This will be a very merry weekend over in our household.
