Nice thing
Jul. 23rd, 2006 01:41 pmI took the kids to a street fair today with my mom, Robert stayed home to go the gym and get a haircut (he hates those things anyway). It wasn't a rides/food kind of fair, it was a "buy cheap crap you don't need" kind of fair.
Anyway, before I left, Robert said, "Put Lily in one of your ensembles and make sure you take business cards with you." I shrugged it off, but did it anyway. I usually have Lily in something I made regardless.
She stayed in the stroller a lot of the time, but as soon as she was out, people started commenting on her dress. It was a purple/pink/fuschia tie dyed heart on the shirt with purple and fuschia bandannas as the skirt. Most of the people who commented asked if we had a booth there...when I said we didn't, they said that I should. It's basically impossible for me to have a booth because that would mean Robert (and/or my mom) would have to watch the kids for like eight straight hours, probably on both days of a weekend. Yeah, most dads could handle that, but I'd never hear the fucking end of it.
But I digress...the point is that I gave my card to a bunch of people and got really nice comments about the stuff (Laszlo and I were wearing Cute Threads as well).
Now if only I could get my website up and running, I'd be golden. ;-)
