Question?

My sister in law informed me that my escape-artist niece has discovered how to let herself out of her 5-point harness in her stroller. They live in Manhattan = not good.

Anyone know some way to either reinforce the harness or keep her in there, short of a padlock?

Thanks!

ETA: She's really big...a carrier is not an option for her.

It is SO one of those days today.

Laszlo is testing me to death. I would have never believed my child could be the King of Spite. It's horrendous.

Lily's an angel, which makes me feel awful. Today Laszlo was having a full blown tantrum because he couldn't find his BLACK guitar pic. We have literally DOZENS of other pics in the house, but he needed that one. He screamed for the better part of an hour. Lily just hung out in her chair playing with her nesting dolls and talking to them. Once in a while, she threw in an, "I love you Mommy." I never thought I'd be the kind of mom who says, "Oy, I can't WAIT for school to start" - but I'm SO that mom.

My maltese is the most annoying dog ever. She barks constantly. I have a citronella anti-barking spray collar, but it's not working for some reason. I changed the batteries, cleaned the chambers and filled that baby up, but it's not working consistently. She's been barking all day and I want to rip her throat out.

My mother is the essence of negativity. All she did both times I spoke to her today was complain. She punctuates her misery with this deep throated sniffle/snort. It's lovely really. I couldn't wait to hang up with her. Both times.

A friend came over with her kids for a playdate. I was dreading it, but it was short and actually not too horrible. The bad part was that my friend knew I was stressed and insisted on hugging me when she got here. The last thing I want when I'm super stressed is an uninvited hug. It makes me cringe.

Hmmm...anything else to bitch about? I ordered size 6s for Cute Threads but I need 8s and 10/12s as well and don't have any money left in the account to buy them. I'm doing a home party on September 21, and will use that money to order more stuff...BUT I want the bigger sizes FOR that party. Maybe I'll put some other money into my work account just for now and then move it back once I earn it back. I'll have to check with the CFO about that one (aka, Robert).

In good news, Laszlo started OT again today and his therapist said he did great. I received my large bandanna order, which has some new colors that I'm excited about. I'm supposed to get my Dharma order tomorrow and my American Apparel order should follow by the end of the week (thus the empty work account).

In other good news, Robert was dreading work today because his boss was out for over a week and the rumor was that upon her return she'd be a complete demon. I spoke to him briefly, but he didn't seem upset. Which is good, because if she had reamed him out, it would have most likely happened by that point. So far she's always worse to him when she's not there, she can't stand to be away from the office, so she balls everyone out over the phone constantly while she's out. She's a genius and really successful, and has two daughters. Her husband jumped off a bridge when the girls were really little, so she does it all herself. I've never met her, but I respect her tremendously. Anyway, I'm thankful that she didn't verbally castrate my husband today. It will make for a more relaxing evening for me.

Went to Target today and got a ton of stuff. I was going to go to BJ's, but Robert was thinking that Target's probably around the same price for the bulk items I needed (diapers, Metamucil, etc.) and we also needed other stuff that they don't carry at BJ's. I love Target and had a blast. I want to get Lily's furniture from there for her new room, they have the Shabby Chic collection there and I'm in love with it.

Rambling, rambling, rambling.

SHUT UP ALABAMA! I'm really going to get her a bark-ectomy. I can't STAND it!
