After fighting to stay awake for an hour on the couch, I decided the girls and I had to get out of the house. I put them in their new dyed duds a la momma (I made them some matching stuff, SOOOO freakin' cute) and we walked to Starbucks. Lily was in her "little red car" and Ella was in the Ergo because I needed a pocket for my phone. I'm proud of myself for not getting a frappacino and just getting a cup of water for myself. I got Lily a huge cookie with M&Ms in it. Then we walked through the Gap (and I didn't buy ANYthing!) and to the duck pond. There were some bird watchers there so I was eavesdropping. Apparently there's some rare hybrid duck there that they came some distance to see. It looks like a plain old mallard, but it's all black with purple in the sun.
When I was almost frozen, we walked back home. At least I got some fresh air in the girls. I feel guilty if the sun's shining and it's not below 40 degrees and we stay inside all day.
Now we're back in the basement. I wanted to make Ella another outfit, but I don't have anymore shirts for her and I'm SO mad. I ordered a couple, but they won't be here for at least a week. I have short sleeved ones, but that weather's still a few weeks away.
Ramble, ramble, ramble...what's up with me today?
Laszlo gets off the bus in about twenty minutes and then he watches the clock until 5:30 when his piano teacher gets here. He's obsessed. It's actually very cute, and I used the lure of Matthew to get Laszlo on the bus this morning. He's been giving me a hard time, but I told him if he was bad I'd call Matthew and cancel. Of course, I'd never actually do it, but it worked for today and my morning went smoothly. The last couple of weeks I've had to literally drag him to the bus. Once he's on, he's fine, but he loves to torture me. Lil fucker.
