I really don't believe it's because men are inherently lazy or anything like that. They prove time and again that they have the energy and drive to excel at their jobs or their hobbies. I think it boils down to the one difference I can see between men and women that no one talks about in "Mars and Venus get married".
Men really, truly think everything is about them. That everything else is some orbital object in *their* universe. Not only do they think this, but they don't REALIZE they think this, or see anything wrong with thinking this if they do.
