lalicopaI contacted an old friend a few months back and heard from him once. I got another email from him just now.
Here's what it said:
Hi Jen Last Name Withheld:
I have been meaning to contact you. I cannot find your phone number. I am doing terrific and you have caught me at a great time. As you probably read, the California Supreme Court recently struck the gay marriage ban--within 24 hours of the ruling taking effect, I married my partner of 11 years, Ron. Grateful Dead music was not played during the ceremony, and Pigpen’s wife was not there (as far as I know).
Can I call you one day? Things are very busy, but I do want to talk. But no more Pizza Hut (carbs). Unless I have a diet coke.
Remember we saw Overboard (with Goldie Hawn)? I still love that movie. I am on a bit of a late 80s revival. After a 15 year hiatus, I bought about six bottles of cologne in as many months. But I don’t wear it. But sometimes Loehmans Mens store gives 20% off on top of 20% off, on top of discounted prices. So I buy the bottles even though I do not need them. For the same reason, I have about 45 pair of boxer shorts. I save quite a bit off department store prices on numerous things I do not need.
Now I can’t remember what I already told you. You know I work at a law firm representing labor unions?
How old are your kids? Does your mom live nearby? Do you sometimes feel like you are Living Lohan?

Awwwww! I didn't know he was gay. I mean, I'm not surprised, but I didn't know. I'm so happy for him! What nice news, after 11 years together.
