Sewing success?

So, I made a pair of pants this morning for Lily. I used this awful blue toile fabric that I have a ton of (thanks to eBay) and had to throw away my first attempt because, I only made one side (way to read instructions, Jen.) But...she's wearing the pants. I didn't use elastic because I didn't buy any so I put a ribbon through and tied it on the side. I also didn't hem them but rolled them up because they're supposed to be a 2, but they're ridiculously long. I already redrew the pattern, a few inches shorter, more tapered at the leg and added a flared bottom...we'll see if that comes out ok or if I'm really getting ahead of myself.

I'm proud of these ugly pants, nonetheless. Pants are really the only thing I wanted to make anyway, so there.
