While you're at it, consider emergency power backups to the sump pump (also available through Home Depot.) Maybe you won't need it if this is your first exposure to flooding (I've grown up with sump pumps, so I didn't know people didn't have them) but when storms both flood and take out power, sump pumps aren't all that useful anymore. Except as a place to first gather water so you can fill up buckets by candlelight and run them outside/to the nearest sink. ;)
