Feeling Good

lalicopaI guess it's only appropriate that I post something when everything's GOOD and not just to bitch about stuff. My kids are both on their way to nap land, yes - at the same time. I just went to some fancy shmancy kids' clothing store because they're moving and had a 75-90% off sale, so I scored some ridiculously cute things for Lily for next year, plus a few headbands and barrettes (the latter for when she's got more hair).
Lately everyone's been telling me that Lily looks exactly like me, yet when I look at her face I see Robert completely. Strange. I guess only time will tell. She's a cutie, and that's all that matters. Ok, not ALL that matters certainly, but way more than which parent she resembles.
Laszlo has been cracking me up lately. He files stuff away in his brain and comes out with it at totally random times. My mother always sings this song to him about his froggy...and he never usually sings along or even reacts particularly to it. So the other night, out of nowhere, he starts singing it exactly how she sings it. Robert had never heard it, so he was floored...then I told him it came from my mom. He also says, "I sexy" having no idea what it means - because his asshole mother (yours truly) taught it to him one day that he looked unusually handsome. So now when he's upset about something, he cries, "I SEXY!" It's better than what Robert recently taught him. We have light fixtures in the house that are round and have a nipple that you screw in to hold it in place. We have them in the kids' rooms and the office. Robert called them "titty lights" - so now whenever we are ANYWHERE with a similar light, he says, "Titty light on" and then we usually have to explain to people what he's saying. I think it's pretty funny, and considering the potty mouth I have, this is really mild for a 2 1/2 year old.
Still haven't managed to make anything creative, but with my free time that I mustered up I cleaned out the garage and sorted through ALL of Laszlo's baby clothes and made 6 huge black plastic lawn bags full for charity. Now I just have to find a charity that I want to donate to. Preferably a women/mother's shelter. Gotta do some research.
All for now, the mutts want to go out and pee and Laszlo's winding down crying for more chocolate bottle. I think 9 ounces is quite enough.
