He Breaks My Heart

lalicopaYesterday Laszlo was playing with the dogs, as usual. He's using them to test out all his language, which is just so damn cute. "You want this triangle, Kibbles? Oh, ok. How 'bout another shape? You want this circle? Circle good Kibbles?" Stuff like that. And he gives them toys and biscuits all the time.
So he was playing with Alabama while she was eating a bone and trying to run away from him. He kept after her, "Good running, Abama" - and finally cornered her. So she bit him. I didn't see the actual bite, but I know it hurt because he had little teethmarks on his hand. He was hysterically crying but managed to say, "I sorry Abama, 'scuse me Abama." He knew he intruded on her and that he "deserved" to be bitten. I wasn't angry with the dog. Laszlo's got to learn that they have boundaries and not to bother them while they are eating. He was so sweet about it. He was on my lap crying saying, "Be gentle Laszlo, Abama...No hurt Laszlo." I couldn't help crying. He totally breaks my heart. This boy is the sweetest thing I've ever seen. He's just so pure and good and doesn't have a mean bone in his lil body. He loves his sister, plays with her so nicely. I don't know what I ever did to deserve him. Lily too, only he's such a person already and just showing his goodness in everything he does. Not a day goes by that he doesn't amaze me.
