Well, we've embraced Laszlo's affection for people falling down/getting hurt, etc. and purchased a DVD of America's Funniest Home Videos. The fact that he watched it every Sunday for a few weeks with Robert while almost vomiting from laughter was enough for us. He LOVES it. And the fact that the show is in fact such a hit makes me feel better about the sadistic nature of my boy. I think watching Dexter (show on Showtime) has also made me worried about the future-serial-killer aspect of it, but I'm realizing that I'm a paranoid maniac by nature and that he's totally normal in thinking it's hilarious when people fall down.

Whew.

It's also apparently really funny when any animal bites any person in the groin. What a side splitter.

Gabe and the kids Jaymee nannies think that the America's funniest animals show on Animal Planet is just the most hilarious thing ever, so I think it's typical of little kids! I can't STAND that sort of humor, but I always get a kick out of seeing my kid laughing hard :)

I know, the kid gets so hysterical his eyes tear. And now the added feature of using the remote by himself and learning all the buttons is just too much happiness to handle.

Much of the output of such shows could also be labelled as "America's dumbest people" because a bit of forethought and common sense would prevent some of the things from happening. Use the opportunity to explain why the people were silly and get him to tell you what they should have done to avoid it happening.

I've been watching some of the police video stuff and it's scary to know there are people that crazy out there.
