Need....sleep
Jul. 1st, 2004 09:26 pmFor the last few nights, at least 1 kid has been getting up a minimum of 2 times at random intervals. I usually get to go back to sleep quickly, but it just screws with my sleep cycle to get up like that. I would LOVE a full night's sleep, just once a week. I think that's reasonable. I don't expect Robert to get up with the kids since Laszlo's usually crying for me anyway and since he is not able to breastfeed Lily (to my knowledge anyway).
Had a Dr's appt. today for Lily. She's a whopping 13 pounds 7 ounces, with the chubby cheeks and thighs to prove it. I love having a chubby baby! I have a wicked crush on the pediatrician and I feel all awkward and goofy around him. He's not handsome or sexy, but he's just amazing. I think it's his intelligence and his kindness and how nice he is to my kids. Plus he's single and like the most eligible bachelor in town. Not that I'm thinking of doing anything, but like my mom always said, "I'm married, I ain't dead!" I think "Dr. Evan" knows I have this high school crush and feeds into it, but maybe he's just a nice guy and genuinely likes me as a friend. Who the fuck knows. It's always fun to have a crush, right?
Laszlo's next to me on the other computer playing the Elmo thing on the Sesame St. website. I can't believe that this kid knows the keyboard already. He knows which letters make what thing pop up and the same with the numbers. He may be a social misfit, but he's a smart social misfit! :-)
I have a hard time believing that the computer is just as "detrimental" to kids as television. He's definitely learning while he's doing this and it's interactive. Plus I'm right next to him talking to him (yes, while I type, but still I'm paying close attention to him) and helping him out.
