So, I started avoiding carbs one week ago, and noticed that after 24 hours, Lily's entire sleep pattern changed. She started taking real naps during the day and sleeping better at night. I wondered if this is a possible outcome of the lower carbs/sugar and increased protein. I posted on MKB and I'm fascinated (and admittedly a lil proud) that some other women are trying it out to see if their little ones sleep better. Some women have already found that it is working! I can't believe it. Anyone ever hear of anything like this before? I mean, with all the Atkins/South Beach buzz out there, surely someone has studied the effects on breastfed infants.

I'm keeping track of what people say about it. Of course it's sorta 50/50, but I find it super cool nonetheless.

Oh, and she slept pretty shitty the last 2 nights, so go figure!

Other big news, I finally got the sewing machine I've been wanting for over 5 years now. It's an embroidery machine. We fought about getting it, but I finally just decided that I deserve it and I want it and I know I'll make some money selling stuff, even if it's just a little. I think part of it is that Robert resents anything that takes my time away from him (other than the kids). He's such a big baby. I'm really psyched though, this thing is amazing. There's a software component that's a lot of money that I'm waiting on until after he gets his bonus around January, but there is a ton of cool stuff I can do already. Will post some pictures when I make something worthwhile...I'm just learning the specifics now.
