Poor lil Miss Lily
Nov. 9th, 2004 09:44 pmThis morning when she woke up, she felt hot to me still. I took her temperature and it was 102. I called the doctor, because I figure at this point something's brewing in there, and I want to know what it is.
Turns out my poor lil angel has a DOUBLE ear infection. She hasn't even really been complaining that much. I cannot believe it. Her cold must have settled in her ears.
In happier news, she has really started to babble this week...mostly "da da da da" and "ba ba baaaaaaaaaaaa" - but I swear I heard "ma ma" a few times. Honest.
I've decided to sign with her. For those of you who have done it with your kids, at what age did you start? And did you start with just one sign until they "got" it or did you do several as just every day conversation? I figure I'll start with "more" "milk" "eat" - any other suggestions for a beginner? At music class last week there was a mom with a little girl and the girl kept signing "more" for the snacks her mom kept hidden in her bag. It was so cute and really inspired me. That mom said she started when her daughter was 7 months, but that she was 14 months before she actually started using the signs herself.
