Lily's been chubby since she was born...she was actually born with a fat roll on her thigh. She's since added *several* rolls there and she's amazingly delicious.
Now that she's eating lots of foods other than momma's milk, she is the funniest thing. I cannot eat anything without her freaking out for some of it, no matter what it is. Her absolute favorite is Chinese food. Today we had lunch out with my mom and we had some sushi (it's Chinese and Japanese at this place) and some traditional Chinese food. Laszlo had his old standby, soy sauce by the drop courtesy of a pair of chopsticks. Hey, it keeps him occupied and happy while we're eating. He did pick at the crunchy noodles, but was very happy to have his crackers and peanut butter once we got home.
Anyway, Miss Lily had 3 wontons (minus the meat) and about 3 pieces of steak from the beef with broccoli. It was to the point that a waiter and waitress came over separately to comment on how much she was eating. And she doesn't stop, we just have to *remove* her from the food. I'm quite the same way, so I know where she gets it from!
When we got home, she nursed and took a little nap...then she had about a quarter of a banana and was really cranky so I didn't think she'd eat anymore. Robert and I ordered in some yummy fried chicken for dinner and Lily ate a TON of it. She nursed before bed and has nursed twice already since then, and it's only 11:10 pm. Maybe this is a growth spurt, but this is basically how she's been going since she discovered things other than baby food (which she turns her nose up at).
I wanted a fat baby so badly and I got one. I'm so happy that she's such a good eater. I love her mushy babyness and deliciousness!
