One of my favorites...
Feb. 28th, 2005 09:44 pmThis is one of my favorite times of day, when my kids and husband are sound in their beds and I have time totally to myself. Of course, the time doesn't usually end up being for *me* - as I usually use it to sew something or clean something or fold something...but it's still nice to just have my time to sit with my thoughts and not be distracted.
My more favorite time is when my kids see each other first thing in the morning and smile at each other. Laszlo greets Lily with my affected greeting, which melts me. He's so nurturing to her. He's such a good boy. His latest thing is he says he wants to "cozy Lily" and then he hugs her. His arms always end up around her throat, but luckily he doesn't hug that hard - and he really does mean well. She laughs when he's anywhere near her. I wish someone would look at ME with that amazing adoration! :-)
My mom's coming home from Floriday tomorrow after being away for 3 weeks. She is insane to get back and see my kids. I'm looking forward to it too, it's always nice to have an extra set of hands around. OK, see if I'm still saying that after she's been home for a week and here every day. But for now, I'm looking forward to it.
I'm getting spring feverish, even though there's a blizzard outside. I'm not sure what's gotten into me. I feel like I've had a dozen cups of coffee and I want to clean everything. If I didn't know better, I'd think I was nesting. But I do know better.
And on that note, some pregnancy pictures, that I've been meaning to post for some time now...
