Something strange...

I had a dream last night that my father was found alive after all these years...living in the midwest and working as a salesman. He had some sort of amnesia and had no idea during these 9 years who he really was or if he had a family. The catch was that when he came back and remembered us all, he was diagnosed with a terminal disease and we knew he'd be dying shortly. Lots of emotional stuff in there, etc...but the strangest part of the dream (I've dreamed many many times over the years that he comes back to life, never really died, or that I get him for just one day) was that my close friend Lisa was there. Once he died, Lisa insisted that my family take his body to the beach to spend the days there until he was buried. She said my father really loved the beach and would appreciate it from beyond. More strange details, etc...we ended up taking him to the beach, I was the only one in my family objecting to this. Then we snuck him back to the funeral home - along with some choreographed number with some professional cheerleaders or some shit - and had an open casket. I kept insisting that he was moving.
Ok, as if that's not all strange enough. I talk to Lisa this morning. I swear to God, she asked me, "Do you ever dream that your father dies all over again?" Her mother died when we were teenagers and she had a dream last night that her mother died. Spooky.

In other news, both kids have colds. Laszlo's getting over his, but Lily's just settling into a low grade fever snotty nose. She was actually lethargic today for the first time ever, and it worried me. She slept for 2 1/2 hours mid day, which she never does. Breaks my heart when my kids don't feel well.
All for now.
