lalicopaI almost forgot...we had Lily's school orientation today and, as expected, she did great. She was so excited. It felt strange walking into that school with Lily and Ella and not Laszlo. It's always been his school and now it's hers. She sat right down and started playing with another little girl, then a few minutes later moved to a different girl. That girl was named Jenna, so Lily said, "My mommy's name is Jenna...well, Jen." I know her head teacher because her daughter was in Laszlo's class last year and one of the other teachers has a daughter in Laszlo's kindergarten class. I love how interconnected it all is. I suppose some people wouldn't like that, but I love it. I feel like someone's always watching out.
Lily also took a test bus ride around the block. I'm sure she'll be fine on the bus, and I'm kind of regretting not putting her on from the get go. I can always change it in the coming weeks.
We picked out new shoes for her to wear on her first day and I told her I'd make her an outfit to match them. Not sure why I said that!

We have a b'not mitzvah (2 girls, sisters) tomorrow night and it's formal. I got a dress yesterday (nothing like waiting til the last minute) at Macy's for $80! And I got a necklace to wear in the plunging neckline today at Claire's for $15. And I'm borrowing my mother's fancy shoes that she's never worn. Yay. Best part about the dress? It's a halter top and has enough support that I don't need a bra. Even with my big bazooms. Yay again.
