lalicopa | Ah...THAT'S it!

I saw a woman selling very similar stuff to mine at a local street fair a few weeks ago. I've met her a few times and disliked her each time. She's thumbed through my stuff at a holiday show I did and made small talk about herself. Her kids go to the same school as Laszlo and they are walkers too, which means they live within 2 miles from us, but probably much closer than that.

I've been stewing about her since I saw that she's doing it. She was also very glib when I saw her at the fair, asking, "Why aren't YOU here?" - and then let me know she had newborn sizes if I was interested for Ella. Um, NO.

It's been bothering me how much it's been bothering me.

My mom thought it was that I was misdirecting my anger at myself for not working right now. But that's really not it. I could work but I really don't want to yet. I am trying really hard to get my house in order and finish some projects and I'm loving going to the gym in the mornings, putting off whatever housework I could get done during those times.

Then I saw Tristyn online and ran the whole thing passed her. Wise woman that she is, she helped me realize it's not because I'm not doing it or because someone else is doing it, it's that SHE'S doing MY thing and it's just too close for comfort. *I'm* the "tie dye girl from Merrick" - NOT her. It's how people know me. And even though I haven't done a home party since I was 5 months pregnant with Ella, people are still asking me all the time if I'm doing them again yet, because they want to host one. But I really don't want to. I haven't even made my own kids clothes for this season!

But thank you Tristyn, because that really took a load off my mind. I'm still annoyed about her, but I'm glad I know WHY I'm annoyed.
