Adoptable Baby

My sister in law just called and asked me to reach out to my "internet
friends" to see if anyone is interested.

The agency that my brother and sister in law adopted from contacted my
sister in law to see if she knew anyone that would fit this birth mother's desires. The baby is mixed-race (black and white) and the birth mother wants the baby placed in a heterosexual similarly mixed-race family.

The birth mother has no diseases, has had good prenatal care and no drug
use. Not sure when the baby is due, but I can get that information easily.

She's located in upstate NY, although I'm not sure if location has any
impact on her decision.

Please only serious replies only. I'll pass the information along to my
sister in law so she can forward it to the agency.

I'm posting this elsewhere as well, if any of you know any "good" adoption
newsgroups, please let me know and I'll post it there as well.

I know a mixed couple that is trying to adopt, but they are chinese/caucasian. Too bad. :(

You're the second person who replied with a couple like that. I guess this birth mother is being very picky - and not sure that will last if she can't find a fitting candidate.

also wanted to say, I spend a LOT of time on adoptive websites and have to say I see interracial couples all the time on the ---wanting to adopt-dear birth mother letters. I think how this happens is that many agency's will only match their bmoms will couples who are registered with THEIR agency, and many agency's will prevent you from being able to be listed with other agency's. :/
