About 2 weeks ago I had a feeling that Ella had an ear infection so I took her to the pediatrician. She assured me that there was no infection and that it was probably just some post nasal drip, etc. Of course I know that it can show up within hours, but I saw her swollen gums the next day and figured it was from teething.
She had her checkup today and upon examination, the doctor said Ella's got wicked ear infections with pus in both ears.
From now on when I suspect an ear infection (this has happened a few other times just like this) I'm going to WAIT a full 24 hours and THEN go to the doctor. That and invest in my own otoscope so I can check them out myself.
I'm also going to call Early Intervention to check out Ella's locomotion. She scootches on her tush like Lily did, but she's not pulling herself to stand at all and has no desire to walk. So we'll have her evaluated and see what happens. Either way.
