I've actually seen this fabric online before, but I just came across it again. I'm guessing the conversation with the designers went something like this:

"You know, we have a really great collection of quilting fabrics."
"Yeah, you're right, but something's missing. I feel there's a target audience we may be forgetting."
"Hmmmm? I thought we had pretty much every customer type saturated. We make fabrics with children, flowers, geometric patterns, retro style and some other odds and ends. Who did we miss?"
"The flamboyant daisy-duke wearing gay men who love to sew."
"And who love The Village People?"
"Yes! That's it!"
