I gave up after S2, but early on in that it became evident that Nathan and his wife had separated because of his drinking, and he wasn't supposed to approach the kids.
Yes. When he had the beard, after he'd been burned and was still seeing the burnt face in the mirror, his children were at school behind a fence and they said something about him not seeing them for ages. It was implied that there was some sort of custody arrangement that didn't include unsupervised visits. They've kind of hand-waved away the family since that scene.
Isn't it kind of funny that the first two people to answer you are non-USians who wouldn't get Heroes at the same pace as you?
It's funny, but I watched all of them and didn't remember that. LOL I asked my hubby the EXACT same question last night. Where the heck are his kids and wife? I mean, how do they just disappear? Maybe they went into one of the black holes...
Hell with that, what I want to know is why people conveniently forget which powers Sylar has obtained. Remember in, IIRC, S1 when he took the super mega hearing from that woman? He should be able to hear changes in HRG's heartbeat from many yards away, to say nothing of HRG telling Vortex Guy to kill Sylar when he's only 40 feet away.
I mean, HRG is a long-time company man who spent a long time tracking Sylar, you'd think he'd have a list in his Blackberry or something of what Sylar can do.
Sylar lost all his powers except the telekinesis and his original clockwork power when he was almost killed at the end of S1. Remember, he tried to take that shapeshifter's power and it failed during S2. That's why he wanted Claire, to prove to himself he could do it and to give himself a base to start from where no-one else could kill him.
So Sylar's current list is telekinesis, clockwork and magnetism which he got from the German guy.
Oh, that's right! (It's getting hard to keep track of what he and Peter can do, and it doesn't help that there have been multiple Peters running around.)
Also, he's impervious to injury, thanks to Claire.
Peter can probably do more than he realises, which is all good given that he is currently a complete tool (both FuturePeter and CurrentPeter). But you're right, Sylar is up to 4 powers. No, 5, he can also do the Midas thing thanks to Elle's dad. It would be interesting to know if he also no longer feels pain since that is Claire's newest thing, or if that's something he accidentally did to her while digging in her brain.
