So, my tattoo is four days old now. It's significantly faded. I think I screwed it up. I think I rubbed off some of the color after the shower. I did whatever I was told to do, but I just feel like this can't be normal tattoo healing, for my flesh color to be so prominent throughout the once-opaque tattoo.

Advice? Experience?

Eileen says I'm being crazy.

I just left a message for the tattoo artist, hopefully she'll call me back tonight.

Look at these 2 pictures:

I'd call and make an appointment but maybe it's just that it needs a little longer to heal? They can't really do anything until it heals, anyway, but having the appointment on the books would be nice.
Mine on my arm took so long to actually heal, but it did need some touching up, once I got it all healed.

I love the colors! Is it a bullseye? does it signify something or is it just a design you liked? I think it looks good in both pictures but I can see what you mean about it being faded.

When the initial peeling happens a lot of the depth of the color comes off. I can't stand that, I always want my tattoos to stay super dark but they don't. With color some people take certain colors/brands of ink differently. When I got my red tattoo on my shoulder it faded to light pink after the initial peeling. I had to go to a different shop where they used a different brand of ink on me.
