Bleh

I've got strep throat. My throat hurt all day yesterday and got progressively worse throughout the night. I woke up around 4:00 itching like crazy. I broke out in welts all over my body, even got a nice juicy one on my bottom lip. I called the dr's emergency number because I was afraid that my throat would start closing.

Went to see him this morning, groggy and in a Benadryl funk, but it's most likely strep (won't know for sure until tomorrow when the culture comes back). I feel so awful. My skin hurts. Like my clothing is torturing my skin. I never had this experience before. At least the itching has stopped.

I started the antibiotic, hopefully by tomorrow I'll feel a bit better...dr said that it could get worse before it gets better. Woo hoo.

Guess it was only a matter of time before all the cooties flying around this house got to me.

Oh, you poor thing! ((((((Jen)))))) Do you have a fever too? Fever sometimes makes my skin feel icky.

Hot tea and sleep, girl, if you can. Can someone watch the kiddos for you?

Robert was actually great today. My mom had to take a friend for surgery so she couldn't help today and Robert offered to come home early, but by the grace of something, the kids took a nice afternoon nap at the same time, so I got some sleep.

Going to post in a few minutes about what Robert came home with for me. I'm feeling loved.
