Looks like I'm going to have some type of oral surgery done tomorrow. The shitty dentist I went to yesterday let me know that I have an "operculum" - which means some tissue has grown over the chewing surface of my wisdom tooth. The shitty dentist told me that I should have all 4 wisdom teeth pulled (even though none are impacted and I've had them for 17 years with no problems until now) along with this fang that I have (which is a canine tooth that didn't have room to come down since my baby tooth is still in that spot). So....we'll see what happens tomorrow. I mostly want this little flap of skin off because it's making me insane and I cannot chew on that side of my mouth. I guess if I have all the teeth pulled, I can have ice cream for like 2 days and not feel guilty.

Oh boy, always something.

And I have to bring my car into Toyota because there's something wrong with it and the service station guy here said it's still under their warranty and would be covered.

Such is my "relaxing" week sans hubby!

Ok, so I guess you cant come see us tomorrow! I'll be thinking of you, who is watching the kids for you? Is your Mom around?

Good luck!

hunh-that's odd...i've got my two canines that didn't drop correctly, and my last dentist was of the opinion that he was going to pull the back teeth, put me in braces and at some point in time drop the two canines down where they should be...

Yeah, they wanted to put me in braces when I was 14...my option was to have a tooth or 2 pulled out then be in braces throughout high school into college, OR - take my chances that the baby tooth would stay put and worry about it later on. So that was my decision.

I keep reminding myself that not all dentists are just in it for the money...

I did research and there is a lot about removing wisdom teeth and how it's better in the long run for dental health...so after tomorrow's visit (at which hopefully he'll snip off this piece of tissue) I'll decide about getting all those choppers out.

ok, i guess it's significantly different for me in that i've got an impacted tooth, the two canines that grew above the jawline and a crossbite from hell...i inherited my mother's too small jaw...:/
