I feel like every room in my house has gotten out of my hands. And as soon as I manage to tame one room and move onto the next, the first one gets messy again. It's not dirty, I just have untidy surfaces. Like everywhere. Like there's *stuff* on every flat surface in my entire house. Magazines I need to read, things I need to file, pictures I need to put in albums (that is something I haven't done in almost a YEAR), discs, receipts...and all that is just on my desk in the office. There's crap in the kids' room that needs putting away. The only place I have managed to keep orderly is the basement, which is ironic since it's the place where 90% of the toys are. It's also the room we spend the most time in, so I can straighten up while the kids play. Upstairs are the bedrooms, and I just never get enough time/energy to tackle it. I'm lucky enough to have a cleaning woman once a week, so she neatly stacks all the shit I have lying around.
I guess I should spend less time online and more time getting this place in order. I just don't know where to start. Fuck flylady.

Date: 2005-06-02 11:26 am (UTC)I went into labour 2 days after leaving work, and got nothing done. Now I keep saying "well, I'll do that when he goes to school".
Only 3 years to go...
